"Do you know where your t-shirt was made?" was the simple question that launched Alex out of her civics and economics class in high school and into the complex realm of globalization and socio-economic inequality. She has nurtured her passion for social and economic change through volunteering and traveling in Latin America, studying Human Geography and Urban Planning at UC Berkeley, and working as a student organizer with United Students for Fair Trade. Alex works as a Sales Associate at Global Exchange's Fair Trade store in San Francisco and is more than happy to get you thinking about where your t-shirt is from.
