Profile:

Although Anna studied global development through UC Berkeley's Peace and Conflict Studies program, it was her time outside of the classroom that has influenced her passion behind fair trade. She spent eight months backpacking from Northern Africa to Southeast Asia, and more recently, traveled for five months through India. Having seen the vast poverty, pollution, and displacement that often comes with the today's "free" global economy, she has devoted herself to bringing awareness about the products we consume. Anna works as a Sales Assistant at San Francisco's Global Exchange Fair Trade store, as well a tutor for an Oakland-based after-school program.
