On January 30th, after years of being targeted by organized consumer Fair Trade actions, Hershey has finally made a move! Hershey’s announced that it will make a commitment to purchasing Rainforest Alliance Certified cocoa and invest $10 million dollars in education and its smart-phone CocoaLink project. Hershey’s has long avoided addressing the issue of child and forced labor that persist in its cocoa supply chain. Let’s keep the pressure on them. Announcing our Hershey Brand Jamming contest. It’s time to use your creativity to tell Hershey’s to raise the bar on their corporate social responsibility.
