All US citizens and US residents are subject to US law.

A U.S. citizen may "get away" with traveling to Cuba through a third country. Many do. But that does not mean it is legal. It is not.

As a licensed Cuba Travel Service Provider, organizing Cuba travel for hundreds of citizens each year, Global Exchange cannot recommend to our potential travelers that they travel to Cuba illegally.

Every relaxation of the current Cuba travel restrictions enables many more U.S. citizens to travel to Cuba legally. We welcome this new opening for students, journalists and religious workers, and will continue to work to lift all restrictions on U.S. citizens.
