Imagine, what three billion a week could mean to our ailing country: We could end hunger for good, at least in our country; We could house everyone in affordable housing; We could solarize the country in a few months time; We could build green jobs including training; We could improve the infrastructure in every community across the county; We could … just imagine.

Nicely put. As you say, it is a sad state of affairs that we can’t even celebrate the end of such a horrible war because we just don’t believe anything we are told by our leadership.

Yes, privatizing war by leaving it in the hands of thousands of contractors and calling the result “peace” is the reason we are not dancing in the streets. But let’s celebrate the step forward, and let’s reach out to the vets, who are part of the 99% in the U.S. wondering where the jobs and the money went.
