The Obama administration announced today that the Presidential approval of the Keystone XL pipeline will be delayed until 2013 due to concerns about the proposed routing of the pipeline through Nebraska and the Ogallala Aquifer. Less than a week after 12,000 people surrounded the White House at a mass day of action, the news is a step in the right direction to cancel the project entirely.

On November 5th, all across the country 99%ers were breaking up with the big banks. I spent last weekend in Seattle visiting Occupy Seattle, a feisty group of Washingtonians gathered in Westlake Park across the street from Chase Bank and next to Bank of America to tell their stories of their disappointment in the shabby treatment they’ve gotten after the big Bank bail out.
