Do everything you can to keep ficrkang from happening in your area. Once they are in, it is too late. In addition to the damage done to the air and the water, there are the issues of strained roads breaking down, social upheavals due to the presence of a lot of single men conning impressionable teen age girls, the loss of rental property for poor people. ( Landlords are kicking out poor people and renting to gas men), heavy traffic and the use of local water for both the ficrkang and the return of questionable water. It is not worth it.
Dear Robert,
Thanks for your comment. This is a guest post by Mark Schlosberg (original postfoodandwaterwatch.org.), promoting as broad participation as possible for the Global day of action against fracking this Saturday.

Here at Global Exchange, we're unequivocal about our position on fracking, and we agree THERE IS NO SAFE FRACKING. We work with California communities to assert their right to BAN fracking at the local level. Absolutely appreciate the work you're doing in NY. Feel free to contact me directly if you have questions or comments. Shannon@globalexchange.org

Let's ban fracking! But the industry doesn't operate in a vacuum. Is there a reason why, during an election where the biggest promoter of fracking WORLDWIDE is running for reelection, you fail to mention his name? Is he supposed to stop promoting fracking by having our movement give him a free pass for this:

What are you thinking? Also, is there a reason you have promoters of 'safe fracking' like Environmental Advocates listed as sponsors? What does our movement get from being silent about their promotion of 'safe fracking'?
