In the past twenty years, Global Exchange has sent thousands of travelers to Cuba, and of these travelers, many have had the opportunity to study and experience Cuba’s innovative policies and practices in environmental protection and sustainable development.
In an age of climate instability, now more than ever, we need to ensure that the U.S. and Cuba work together to protect our shared and endangered ecosystem, the Gulf of Mexico and its surrounding bodies of land and water, and to encourage unrestricted communication and collaboration in regard to best sustainability practices.
