Global Exchange is a membership-based international human rights organization dedicated to promoting social, economic, and environmentsl justice around the world.

Alamar-Urban-GardenIn the past twenty years, Global Exchange has sent thousands of travelers to Cuba, and of these travelers, many have had the opportunity to study and experience Cuba’s innovative policies and practices in environmental protection and sustainable development.

In an age of climate instability, now more than ever, we need to ensure that the U.S. and Cuba work together to protect our shared and endangered ecosystem, the Gulf of Mexico and its surrounding bodies of land and water, and to encourage unrestricted communication and collaboration in regard to best sustainability practices.

Join us to send an urgent message regarding US-Cuba environmental exchange to President Obama as his administration enters the final stretch of his second term – and he has vowed to take action by executive authority.

Yes, please lift these restrictions. I am not sure who is still hanging around that demands these sorts of measures, but it does not represent the desires of American or Cuban citizens.

The Cubans have a lot to teach us about living within our means. Lift the embargo!
