Get on the Bus (To Sacramento)

10th March, 2014 - Posted by Corey Hill - No Comments

It’s time to get on the bus. To Sacramento, that is.

On March 15th, people will be traveling from all over California to join a mass rally and send a message to our lawmakers:

Don’t Frack the Golden State!

Governor Brown keeps trying to tell us he’s green, but his stance on fracking is not. We have some of the weakest laws in the country when it comes to fracking. Tell legislators what we know: there’s only one way to keep us safe from fracking — ban it outright!

On Saturday, March 15, join Global Exchange and Stop the Frack Attack coalition in California to call for a ban on fracking outside the statehouse.

The evidence is overwhelmingly clear: fracking pollutes the air, the water, and contributes to climate change. Not to mention, fracking uses over 13 million gallons of water each time a well is fracked — a dangerous waste of precious water during the worst drought in over a hundred years.

Where: The Capital Lawn, Sacramento, CA

When: Saturday, March 15th, 1:00 PM

There are pick up locations throughout the state to get a ride to Sacramento, but you’ll need to RSVP soon — spaces are filling up fast, because people are eager to get in on the anti-fracking action!
