The largest campaign contributions to Congressional candidates of both parties consistently come from the Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate industry (the FIRE sector, which includes big banks). This is just one example of many about why it’s important to add your voice to this petition telling Wall Street that “our democracy is NOT for sale!”

This week President Obama said he understood “the frustration” moving thousands of ordinary citizens to take to the streets of dozens of American cities. But that didn’t keep him from kicking them under the table by sending three pending NAFTA-style trade deals to Congress, despite his campaign promises to oppose them.
