Now that the vote on CAFTA has happened, we need to let our Representatives and Senators know how we feel about their vote. Check out the roll call here, and call them at 202.225.3121 to thank or spank them.

Special attention should be placed on the 15 Democrats who crossed party lines to vote for CAFTA, particularly Representatives Bean (D-IL), Cooper (D-TN), Dicks (D-WA), Cuellar (D-WA), Hinojosa (D-TX), Jefferson (D-LA), Matheson (D-UT), Meeks (D-NY), Moore (D-KS), Moran (D-VA), Ortiz (D-TX), Skelton (D-MO), Snyder (D-AR), Tanner (D-TN), and Towns (D-NY).

Public Citizen's Global Trade Watch has launched an extremely useful and informative CAFTA Damage Report, an on-going series of reports that track the consequences of the Central America Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) in districts where members of Congress voted for the agreement despite opposition from constituents or their own misgivings.

2. WORK TO STOP THE ANDEAN FREE TRADE AGREEMENT

The Bush Administration will now intend to convert a win in CAFTA into more NAFTA expansion in the western hemisphere. Negotiations are currently underway with Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Peru for the Andean Free Trade Agreemen. Get involved in the fight to stop this agreement!

3. SHAPE THE PUBLIC MEDIA DEBATE:

Write a Letter to the Editor or an article in your local newspaper, or pitch them on a local story related to the global economy. Make sure that others in your local community - who might be interested in participating - know about your local organizing efforts. 4. EDUCATE YOURSELF!

Global Exchange hosts an online store of incredibly interesting and informative books and videos available on a wide variety of global justice and human rights topics.

5. EDUCATE YOUR COMMUNITY
