I have been trying to organize a group on my campus, Cal State Univ. @ Los Angeles to get a Fair Trade campaign. Even with all the inspirational work going on, I have still yet to get others interested. However, it is the beginning of a new quarter and I have to renew my effort to get others to join in.

Our first Latin American Society meeting for the spring quarter will be on April 2nd. At that time, we are planning on discussing Fair Trade coffee as an on campus campaign. I will let you know the outcome.

We hosted Deborah James to speak about Fair Trade coffee during our Latin American Studies Environmental Lecture series. We're very interested in getting our student union cafe to offer Fair Trade!
