November 2002 (Maddie Biggs-Gavel)

I am involved with Fair Trade through my church, All Saints, in Pasadena, California. We have formed an inter-faith group (small, maybe 3-4 churches) to try to get the word out through our parishes. At All Saints, we sell Fair Trade coffee and tea once a month in conjunction with another social justice group, which changes month to month.

Our group at All Saints met last week to organize a canvassing campaign for the San Gabriel valley to local cafe's, to talk to them to about fair trade and have them sell the products. I have made a card up that I take to local places with vendor information.

September 2002

Sustainable World is working to get our church to offer Fair Trade coffee.

On Labor Day, We held a Fair Trade coffee and tea sale and hosted Melissa Schweisguth of Global Exchange to speak to our church.
