Potters for Peace

Potters for Peace in an international crafts solidarity organization of North American potters working to provide product development and export assistance to ceramic cooperatives in Nicaragua. Collectives from San Juan de Oriente, Ducuale, Matagalpa, and other remote villages connect with each other to share design ideas as well as production techniques and resources. The groups, such as Loma Panda, "have doubled in size. They now have a zinc roof instead of a thatched one, which they bought themselves. They are totally self-sufficient."
