President Calderón: What are you waiting for?
The world is watching.
The government of President Calderón has committed to protecting human rights. Its time to come through on that commitment. In May of 2006 at least 26 women denounced physical, sexual, and psychological torture they were subjected to by police in San Salvador Atenco and Texcoco.
In February 2009 the Supreme Court reaffirmed that serious human rights violations were committed in Atenco. But three years later these crimes go unpunished. How much longer must this call for justice continue without an effective response from the state?
The difference between impunity and justice is action!
Ask Calderón's government to end impunity in San Salvador Atenco: Raise your voice!
