Israeli army invades Tal village

At 3 am this morning, Israeli tanks and troops invaded Tal, a Palestinian controlled village in the Nablus area.
Israeli soldiers killed Mohammad Yusif Hamid while in his house. Twelve Palestinians have been arrested, and the Israeli army demolished a civilian home, belonging to Nasser 'Assibye.
Israeli forces prevented medical services from entering the village until late this morning. It was only at around midday that one Palestinian and one international ambulance were allowed in. The Israeli army remains in the village.
We are extremely concerned for the safety of the residents of Tal, particularly in the light of the massacre in Beit Rima, which was followed shortly by the invasion of Arraba. This latest invasion of Tal demonstrates an ongoing pattern of gradual and recurrent destruction of territory under Palestinian Authority control, and indicates that the Israeli government will commit such atrocities again. With these attacks, which will not end until an international protection force is sent to the region, the Israeli government is also destroying the Oslo agreements, and the work of the last seven years.
