What You Can Do For Banana Workers

Note: This campaign website remains here for historical research. Global Exchange is no longer actively maintaining this section of the site.

  1. Organize a banana workers rights campaign in your town! Contact deborah@globalexchange.org for ideas.
  2. Learn about the situation of banana workers, the history of agricultural commodity production and what you can do to stop the Race to the Bottom. Check out our background page, www.usleap.org and www.bananalink.org.uk.
  3. Publish a Letter to the Editor or an article in your local newsletter about your concern for banana workers and your commitment to seeing farm worker's rights respected in your community.
  4. Educate your local school, church, or community group about agricultural labor and banana workers rights. We can supply a speaker and other educational materials.
