OSCAR-nominated, EMMY-winning local filmmaker DOROTHY FADIMAN premiers "WORLD PEACE is a Local Issue" Narrated by Peter Coyote, Music by Laurence Rosenthal (Rashomon, The Miracle Worker,A Raisin in the Sun" Prior to the screening, Mid-Peninsula activists will discuss a range of important issues.

Paul George, Director, Peninsula Peace and Justice Center, will host the program. Presenters: Isaiah Phillips - Activist, In the Name of Art (East Palo Alto) will show clips from: YUCA v. Romic, Cultivating the Vision, and Home Grown: From Seed to Market John Rinaldi - Advocate and former Board member, Day Worker Center of Mountin View (Mountain View) Erika Escalantes - President, Buena Vista Homeowners Association (Palo Alto) James Lee Han - Organizer and Secretary, Save Pete's Harbor (Redwood City) Memorial Dedication - Former Palo Alto Mayor Peter Drekmeier will honor former Council members Ellen Fletcher and Gary Fazzino, both features in "World Peace is a Local Issue"
