Since 1995, Roni has spoken at more than one hundred events, conferences, concerts, demonstrations, religious services, workshops and school assemblies, including the San Francisco Green Festival, a college commencement, and campaign appearances for a presidential candidate and a US Congresswoman. His audiences have ranged from elementary school students and at-risk teens to adults of diverse ages and backgrounds, including non-profit and social cause leaders.

 

A dynamic and effective leader in the movement for a better world, in 2002 Roni founded Next Generation, an organization that empowers young people north of San Francisco to connect with nature, green their schools and take action for the Earth. His successes and unique approach have been covered by numerous local and regional media, as well as national media including CNN, NPR and USA Today.

 

Roni's writings have been published by several hundred websites, newspapers, and magazines, as well as five anthologies, including Voices of Protest and The Radical Reader, which feature essays by Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King jr., Henry David Thoreau, and others leaders throughout history. He briefly served as a columnist for the Pacific Sun, founded and published two newsmagazines geared toward college students and young adults, and runs a blog at www.ronikrouzman.com. He also produces popular web-based videos that use humor to make a point.

 

In addition to his writing and public speaking, Roni runs a successful consulting practice that helps local and national non-profits to think big, raise money, communicate effectively, and build organizations that thrive. When he's not doing any of the above, he loves to cook, learn, spend time in nature, connect with friends, travel, and gaze up at the stars.
