Shimaa Helmy is a young Egyptian human rights activist who was a active participant in many protests.

Dr. Sharat G. Lin writes on global political economy, the Middle East, and labor migration. He was in Tahrir Square during the initial uprising in January 2011 and afterwards. He is a research fellow at the San José Peace and Justice Center.
