CPE teams up with Left Roots and PM Press for an evening with Leo Panitch and Sam Gindin, authors of the ground-shaking book, "The Making of Global Capitalism: The Political Economy of Global Empire." What are the possibilities for our movements to mount a challenge to the crisis presented by capitalism? Our guests suggest that a key task is to rekindle the socialist imagination of our movements.

Sam Gindin was the Research Director of the Canadian Auto Workers Union from 1974 – 2000 and is now an adjunct professor at York University in Toronto. Leo Panitch is a professor at York University and serves as the editor of the Socialist Register. Both have been actively involved in building the Greater Toronto Workers’ Assembly. Following offerings from the authors, we'll open things up for audience Q and A. Come prepared for a lively, informed debate.
