Calling All Conscious Youth!

If you are interested in critical thinking, community, and creativity please join the Resource Center for Nonviolence this Summer for a six-day interactive workshop. We will be exploring your local social justice community through over a dozen collaborators and six different topics, including: Community Organizing, Conflict Resolution, Sustainable Food Systems, The Prison-Industrial Complex, Gender and Queer Issues, and U.S. Immigration Policy.

Exploring Your Social Justice Community begins on Monday, July 29th and goes through Saturday, August 3rd from 9:00am to 4:00pm. We will be starting and ending at the RCNV, 612 Ocean St., but we will be traveling for a few field trips including: The Homeless Garden Project, La Liga Soccer Fields, The Day Worker's Center, and more! As a group we will work on a few art projects to be displayed at the MAH for their First Friday event on August 2nd.

Lunch will be provided to the participants.

We are asking for a sliding scale donation of $150-$250.

No one will be turned away for lack of funds and work trade is available.
