Bike-Aid Hawai`i Ride

A Ride Through the Islands of Hawai`i

Bike-Aid has moved to Youth Empowered Action! Bike-Aid Hawai`i is a by invitation ride. To receive more information please send us an email at BikeAid@zenspeeds.com.

Working with partnering grassroots organizations and Native Hawaiians, these routes seek to explore the islands' true nature as understood by community members around the shores to highlight the connections between free trade policies, commercialized tourism, immigration, globalization, and the global warming impact on Hawaiian people and their culture.

These rides touch the beauty of the Hawaiian islands landscape, while also exposing the harsh injustices endured by the Kanaka Maoli (Native Hawaiian) and other communities at the hands of unjust and racially biased policies, by capitalist systems in the quest of 'progress' and expansion.

Participants witness first-hand the global warming impacts of militarization and meet with groups holding different perspectives on its environmental, social, cultural, and religious impact. The ride begins and ends with an indepth discussion with Kanaka Maoli activists and artists who work tirelessly to keep their heritage and culture alive for future generations, who seek to educate the masses about responsible tourism and responsible living, by which we can all "leave a gentler footprint."
