Business Ethics Conference *NGOs Creating Good Companies*

First Unitarian Church of Oakland
Oakland, California

More and more NGOs, with help from responsible investors, are starting for-profit or not-for-profit business ventures that provide a positive alternative in the marketplace and, in some instances, help fund the NGOs. The first session will look at examples of these ventures, such as Green Harvest Technologies, and how they were started and how they are working with the NGOs' missions. The second session will explore what NGOs interested in this strategy need to know and do to begin working with investors and legal and business experts to create these companies.
