Jim Bright and Jane Bright will be speaking.

Jim and Jane Bright, are local folks who established a special foundation to memorialize their son who was killed in action in Iraq on July 24, 2003.

Evan Ashcraft, 24, lost his life while serving in the United States, but before he died, Evan told his family that when he came home, he just wanted to "help people." The Evan A. Ashcraft Memorial Foundation was created to fulfill this last wish: a wish of an exceptional man. Evan was an Army sergeant in the 101st Airborne Division. The Foundation helps to serve only one purpose: to honor their son, and to put a human face to the tally of casualties. "I don't want them to be just numbers," said Bright, human resources director for a North Hollywood aerospace company. "This anguish is unspeakable, and another family goes through it every day. We're not speaking enough about the losses."
