Karolo Aparicio works for International Rivers Network (www.irn.org) and has worked for Global Exchange as a fundraiser and as the the Latin America Program Coordinator for the Reality Tours Department. Since the late 80's he has been involved in human rights and environmental activism and is currently a co-host and co-producer with the weekly environmental radio show, Terra Verde on KPFA in Berkeley.

He earned his Master's degree in Anthropology at Vanderbilt University and has conducted field and archival research in Mexico, Guatemala, and throughout the US. He has presented research papers in anthropology and ethnohistory at national and international symposia.
