| We could not do our work without the wonderful volunteers who have given their time over the years! Volunteers work in our San Francisco office, with program staff, on a less formal basis, and are generally able to offer a shorter amount of time than interns. Volunteers can get involved with the organization in any capacity. Tasks may range from staffing information tables at events, phone banking our members about important issues, assisting with the development and distribution of campaign/program materials, or researching and writing reports. Some volunteers make short-term agreements with the organization to assist staff, while others volunteer 1-2 hours per week over a longer period of time. | |

Internships

| Earn credits while gaining real-life experience and working for a more equitable world! We seek candidates who have an openness to engaging how issues of privilege and diversity affect our work environment and campaigns, and those with a commitment to incorporating an analysis of privilege and oppression into their work. Fall/Spring Applications are accepted and reviewed during the Fall and Spring on a rolling basis. Fall internships will typically start in September and last through December or January. Spring internships typically begin in January and will last through May. However, this may vary according to the internship you apply for. If you see an internship posted, it is open! | |

| Summer Global Exchange operates a structured internship program during the summers. Interns work closely with program staff on campaigns and programs and are expected to bring some knowledge and experience to the organization. Interns should be able to offer 20-40 hours per week from June-August. | |
