Health Matters: Cross Country Cycling
This Summer, 20 people will make a cross-country bicycle journey to raise money and awareness for human rights, environmental and social justice issues.
Peoria native Marcia Rickey is among the people pedalling the 3,600 miles. The 27-year-old cyclist has Tar Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder. She has never allowed her physical differences like missing bones in her arms and legs to slow her down.
Rickey helped design a bicycle to meet her needs. Now she is ready to hit the road for Bike Aid. The ride us from Seattle to Washington.
