While critique and protest are crucial we must also begin to build the world in which we want to live -- a world based on cooperation, fairness and a deep respect for our planet.   Global Exchange believes there are positive alternatives germinating all around the country for a new, local green economy to replace the corporate globalization, which has been the source of so much destruction. It is the local green economy, which harvests local talent and local materials, that is the only antidote to corporate globalization. As a network of inspired and motivated entrepreneurs, activists and justice-seekers we can grow the movement if we share ideas, training and support. We can show the way by doing fair trade, providing a platform for green ideas and social justice and training young people in sustainable community development.
