Global Exchange Reality Tours has been contracted to arrange a New Years delegation on behalf of The Center for Cuban Studies focused on Sustainable Architecture and Urban Planning from December 28, 2012 - January 6, 2013.
Global Exchange is a licensed Travel Service Provider  by the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Participants will travel as under the General License, unless other arrangements have been made.
This trip is open to full-time architects, urban planners, developers, real estate professionals, as well as professors and university students enrolled in a similarly degreed program across the US.
The itinerary will provide educational experiences for professionals conducting research and will examine the history of Sustainable Development and Architecture in Havana which is listed as a UNESCO “World Heritage Sites.” We will also study the restoration of Old Havana and visit many historic sites and projects that are being made in the city and surrounding areas.
The group will be joined by expert guide and distinguished Architect and Urban Planner Miguel Coyula, formerly of the advisory agency, “The Group for the Comprehensive Development of the Capital.” Coyula is a dynamic professional who is well-known as a Cuban television personality and as the “Godfather” of the Group’s 20 community development projects in Havana. He has lectured widely in the U.S. and Europe about Cuban Architecture.

Once registered, you will be contacted about the non-refundable deposit of $500. Payments by Mastercard, Visa and Discover are welcome. Deposits for Cuba delegations are non-refundable unless the trip is canceled by Global Exchange as explained below.
This trip will be as diverse as possible in terms of race, age and life experiences. In some cases, a limited number of partial scholarships are available for low-income applicants.
