Global Exchange has worked tirelessly over a twenty year period to end the U.S. Embargo of Cuba. We have focused on many different aspects of the embargo: travel, food and medicine, people to people communication, and professional interchange in various fields.
Our primary areas of focus are:
- The rights of environmentalists (both professional and grassroots) to interact with their Cuban colleagues in the interest of our mutual environmental health and sustainable development in this hemisphere
- The rights of all U.S. citizens to travel to Cuba, especially to engage in educational and socially responsible interchange, without the onerous bureaucratic intervention of the U.S. government
