Focus: Yosemite National Parks
Bottled water corporations are trying to change the way people think about water. Water is a human right and common resource, not a commodity to be bought and sold. By retailing and promoting bottled water in our national parks, the bottled water industry is attempting to paint its eco-unfriendly product green.
Our national parks were never meant to serve as billboards and concession stands for the bottled water industry. It sends the wrong message about our national commitment to water, our most essential shared and public resource, for National Parks to sell and promote bottled water.
At least 14 parks are already bottled-water-free. With such momentum behind us, we can support the entire National Park system going bottled-water-free! But we need your help. We need to show that the people of San Francisco care about Yosemite and Golden Gate National Recreation Area and urge the park to Think Outside the Bottle and commit to going bottled-water-free.
