Colleen Hicks, Director of the Museum of the American Indian in Novato, will discuss Native Life Ways and challenges facing native people today. Colleen describes the museum as an adventure—everyday something interesting happens.
The museum has served as a repository for artifacts for forty-six years. It is an educational cultural center that teaches about the Coast Miwoks, the indigenous people of Marin County, and about the diversity of Native Americans throughout the country. Visitors from all over the world come to learn about Native Americans and their culture.
This event is free and open to the public. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
