Agroecology Research Program and Conference

Global Exchange has been asked, again this year, by La Via Campesina, an international sustainable agriculture organization that holds conferences in many countries around the world, to arrange travel for US citizens to attend a biannual Agroecology Research Program and  Conference in Guira de Melena, Cuba in November 2013.

Program Highlights may include: 

Presentations on Agroecology by agroecologists from Latin America, Africa, the US and Canada, and other regions
Site visits to agroecological sites in the rural provinces of Cuba

How to Register: 

We must receive your application and full payment of $600 two months before departure. Payments by Mastercard, Visa and Discover are welcome.

This trip will be as diverse as possible in terms of race, age and life experiences. We strongly urge people of color to apply. In some cases, a limited number of partial scholarships are available for low-income applicants.
