The division of Korea in 1945, the Korean War which spanned from 1950 to 1953, and resulted in the separation of the Korean peninsula, are some of the events that have left deep wounds in the people of both nations and continue to influence relations with North Korea. Further straining the region are the United States’ military presence in South Korea and North Korea’s nuclear development program which have brought it much attention in recent years.

Global Exchange Reality Tours has been contracted to arrange travel for Let Go Let Goddess LLC. This tour will take participants on an exploration of Afro-Cuban culture, spirituality, and art with a special focus on the influence of women.
The group will be visiting cultural institutions such as the Yoruba Society, Conjunto Folklorico (National Folkloric Dance Company), Fine Arts Museum, taking dance lessons with the Cutumba Dance Company and much more. The trip will be divided between the cities of Havana and Santiago de Cuba, considered the home of Afro Cuban culture.
