This is a first of it's kind immersion course sponsored by Region A of NASW, California Chapter and Bay Area Social Workers in Health Care. The travel course will offer up to 24 CEUs. The focus of the trip is Cuba's well-integrated health and social service system praised by the World Health Organization as "a model for the world". We will visit Havana, Regla, a strong working class community of Afro-Cuban roots, and travel to two rural communities and through the Vinales Valley.
